After the tremendous response we had in offering white tea, we decided to get an even higher grade. Originating from the Fujian province in China, Peony White Tea is plucked in the early Spring. These buds and leaves are steamed and dried immediately after picking, which helps retain the natural health benefits* of the tea. As white tea is made out of young leaves and buds, it has more of amino acid theanine (has relaxing and mood enhancing properties) than green and black teas which are made from older leaves. This tea is sold loose leaf, meaning it will not arrive packed in tea bags. *These statements have not been evaluated by the US Food and Drug Administration.
