Pu-erh Tea Ball Cakes (20-pack), 20 Pu erh Tuo Cha Bird's Nest Shape Cakes, Fermented Loose Leaf Tea, Yunnan China Origin, 60+ Servings in Square Black Metal Tin

Grown in the Yunnan Province of China, Pu-erh tea is known as the fermented wine of loose leaf tea. Despite its dark color, it is made from green tea leaves that are aged in a special process.

Our tea is shaped into a "bird's nest" cake making it easy to grab one cake, drop it in your teapot or water bottle, and pour hot water over to brew your tea. No tea ball or filter is required. Then top off with more water for a second brew. Use hot boiling water, steeping time: 1-6 min. Contents: 20 tea "cakes" in bird's nest shape. Packed in a 3.25x2.25 in. black metal tin for easy storage. Store in a cool dry place. Just gets better with age.

Vegan, Vegetarian, Paleo-Friendly, Healthy, Caffeinated,

In China, Pu-erh Tuo Cha is believed to aid food digestion, lower cholesterol and treat hangovers. Bird's nest tea cakes are also used in Tibet to make their famous yak butter tea. Pu-er tea is also the tea most commonly served in dim sum restaurants, and it is a very popular tea to use in making kombucha.

This is also the tea made famous by Lisa See in her book The Tea Girl of Hummingbird Lane.
